A 31-year-old Ventura woman was taken to Santa Barbara’s St. Francis Hospital with moderate injuries Thursday morning after her car drifted across two lanes on the Ventura Freeway, jumped the curb and landed on the ocean rocks below, CHP officials said.
Rosanna Ramirez lost control of her 1983 Renault sedan about 8:30 a.m. as she was traveling south of Bates Road on the Ventura Freeway, the officials said.
A helicopter was called to the scene, but Ramirez was taken by ambulance to St. Francis, where she was treated for fractured ribs and vertebral fractures. She is in good condition, hospital officials said.
