Another player was suspended from the Hawaii football team by Coach Bob Wagner.
Starting linebacker Andrew Toeaina will miss the Oct. 19 game against BYU at Provo, Utah, Wagner said.
Toeaina was suspended for what Wagner called unacceptable conduct. Wagner told KHON-TV that the 6-foot-3, 230-pound junior displayed improper conduct on the sideline during last Saturday’s 47-21 loss to San Diego State at Aloha Stadium.
Last week, Wagner suspended running back Jamal Farmer for negative comments he allegedly made on the sideline during a 28-16 loss at Colorado State. Farmer quit the team a day later.
Wagner suspended free safety Terry Whitaker before the season started, after a campus fight.
No charges were filed.
