Congressional Check-Bouncing
“Smoke and mirrors” is the term used to describe tricks magicians use to deceive their audiences. House Speaker Thomas Foley now says the House of Representatives check-cashing service/bank has outlived its usefulness and “has become a subject of controversy” (Part A, Oct. 4).
He said House members would be better off using local institutions.
I guess my next question would be will this balance their “checkbooks”?
Or should my question be is this just another way that career politicians use their deceitful “smoke and mirrors” tricks on their audience, the taxpayers?
I see it now, another bailout!
