The Dodger revolving door has forsaken its farm system and left us with one true Dodger, Mike Scioscia, and a cast of names from other places. Dodger Blue has been glossed out by the green that Peter O’Malley is letting Fred Claire dole out to every big-name veteran in sight.
I grew up in L.A, along with a generation of Dodgers and their fans. I have watched strangers come to this city for big bucks, then leave.
The Dodgers are dead. Long live the Dodgers--whoever they are.
