Santiago Beats Los Amigos, 20-12, in Sloppy Game

GARDEN GROVE — In a game that included three interceptions and four fumbles, Santiago managed to defeat Los Amigos, 20-12, in a Garden Grove League game at Garden Grove High.
Santiago (2-3, 2-0) scored first at the beginning of the second quarter, on a 90-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mike Carrasco to Geoff Noisy. Carrasco completed four for 14 passes for 166 yards, two touchdowns and was intercepted once.
Los Amigos (0-5, 0-2) scored twice in the second quarter. First, Eddie Benson returned a punt 70 yards for a touchdown with 7 minutes 35 seconds left.
On the ensuing possession, Santiago lined up to punt on fourth down. Punter Fortino Espinoza apparently lost his footing, and was whistled down at the four-yard line. Los Amigos took over. On the next play, Benson ran in for the score.
With 4:10 left in the third quarter, Carrasco threw a 45-yard pass to Scott McGarrh for the touchdown, and Travis Tisor capped scoring in the fourth quarter with a 41-yard touchdown run.
