Westlake 28, Agoura 20--Senior quarterback John Snyder threw two touchdown passes in the last three minutes of the first half to break a 7-7 deadlock and lead the Warriors (2-3, 1-1) over host Agoura (2-3, 0-2).
Snyder connected on a 29-yard scoring pass to Tim Kirksey with 2:59 left in the second quarter, and after the Warrior defense forced Agoura to punt, Westlake drove 83 yards in the final 1:13 of the half to take a 21-7 lead. Snyder completed three passes for 61 yards to wide receiver Robert Thompson during the drive, capped by a 24-yard scoring strike to Thompson with one second remaining.
Agoura was its own worst enemy in the second half as Westlake intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble. Warrior linebacker Vince Bruno had two interceptions. Westlake scored on its first play from scrimmage on an 80-yard touchdown run by Erik Holcomb, who gained 122 yards in 14 carries and scored two touchdowns.
