A Guide to the Best of Southern California : AT HOME : Special Delivery
- Share via
On those special days--birthdays, anniversaries, romantic holidays--when the thought of stumbling into the kitchen and pouring a bowl of cereal leaves you cold, think room service.
With as little as two days’ notice, Breakfast in Bed can banish the morning blahs, delivering a freshly prepared meal for two, complete with flowers, champagne and a waiter in tuxedo, to your home. The menu ranges from a simple basket stuffed with muffins, scones and imported jams to a platter piled with lox, smoked whitefish, bagels, cream cheese and more. The juice is fresh-squeezed, the water mineral, the tea herbal.
This royal treatment costs $110 to $140, depending on what you order. Best of all, you get to keep everything--flatware, glassware, including champagne flutes, and dishes--except the waiter.
Breakfast in Bed, by appointment only; (213) 550-1790.
