LATC’s Tenants: About 25 members of the Latino Theatre Lab, from the defunct Los Angeles Theatre Center, occupied the LATC premises overnight Monday. The group, which has vowed to remain at LATC until the city assures it of a permanent role there, unfurled a massive red-and-black Che Guevara banner in the lobby. It had been used in the group’s presentation of “A Bowl of Beings” at LATC. Actor Edward James Olmos showed up to support the Lab members. City officials are allowing the Lab members to stay in the absence of an official plan for the building.
