TRICK OR TREAT CLAUSE: La Habra kindergarten teacher Maria Vigil was honored to be interviewed in Sacramento today as one of four finalists for California Teacher of the Year. But she made clear she would go only if she was back in the classroom Thursday. . . . “I can’t miss Halloween,” she explains. “It’s the children’s favorite.” Vigil, who teaches at Las Lomas School, is already the Orange County Teacher of the Year.
