New Image Cuts 1st Quarter Loss in Half

New Image Industries Inc. in Woodland Hills reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $812,000, about half the $1.62-million loss it posted a year earlier.
The company makes computerized equipment that enables dentists, landscapers, beauty salons and others to show their clients “before” and “after” images of their work. New Image said sales of its dental products and cost-cutting efforts helped narrow its losses in the latest quarter.
New Image’s revenue for the three months that ended Sept. 30 climbed 24%, to $2.15 million from $1.74 million a year earlier.
