An Agoura Hills securities firm has been expelled from membership in the National Assn. of Securities Dealers, the governing body of the nation’s over-the-counter stock market.
Boardwalk Capital Corp. was expelled because it failed to maintain the minimum capital required by the NASD, the association said. One of the firm’s principals, Mason Alan Dinehart III, was fined $7,500 and suspended from being a principal with any NASD member, the NASD said.
Dana Joseph Welch of Moorpark, a Boardwalk Capital associate, was barred from associating with any NASD member in any capacity because he “actively engaged in the management of a securities business without proper registration with the NASD,” the NASD said.
