A 51-year-old woman died Friday afternoon when her car went off the road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The woman, identified as Guadalupe Jimenez of Bonita, was driving on Bonita Road near Otay Lakes Road when her car left the road and hit a power pole, witnesses told CHP. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was not wearing a seat belt, according to the CHP.
