Relatives of pitcher Julio Machado of the Milwaukee Brewers said he will turn himself in to police in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and proclaim his innocence in the shooting death last week of a young woman, the government news agency Vanpres said.
Police have been searching for Machado since the woman was shot Dec. 8 during a traffic dispute in the city of Barquisimeto.
