Testing for AIDS
On Dec. 9, a federal judge ruled that the U.S. armed forces have the right to bar homosexuals from the military to stop the spread of AIDS throughout the military.
If AIDS was rampant in the heterosexual community instead of the homosexual community, would that same judge bar heterosexuals from the military? Of course not! This parallel points out the absurd reasoning used to justify a bigoted position.
This decision by the judge reflects homosexuals’ second-class status in this society as a minority, the victims of legalized discrimination. This was an act of pure discrimination and some day it will be recognized as a national embarrassment.
