Lunker Trout Provide Extra Holiday Cheer

Holiday anglers will find improved trout fishing at most reservoirs, and the fishing for bass and catfish seems to be holding steady.
Top catches include an 8-pound 12-ounce rainbow trout taken from Irvine Lake by Richard Stapleton of Riverside, a 12-pound bass caught at Ventura County’s Lake Casitas by Brian Bowman of Ojai, and two blue catfish, weighing 28-9 and 25-13, taken from San Diego’s San Vicente Lake by Rick Rhodes of Poway.
