Glendale : Partial Street Closings Set
Traffic will be disrupted for eight weeks beginning Monday on busy Wilson Avenue north of the Glendale Civic Center due to underground excavation and street improvements, officials said.
Only eastbound traffic will be permitted for the next month on Wilson between Jackson Street and Glendale Avenue while crews install electrical substructures to serve the city building at Wilson and Glendale avenues.
Beginning in February, only southbound traffic will be permitted on Isabel Street between Wilson Avenue and Broadway. Wilson Avenue also will be widened from the Civic Center parking garage to Glendale Avenue. Other traffic will be detoured around the area.
The work is in conjunction with construction of the city’s Public Services Building. The $24-million construction project is expected to be completed late this year.
