Mark Rivadeneyra has resigned as the boys’ and girls’ volleyball coach at Corona del Mar High School, Athletic Director Jerry Jelnick said Friday.
Rivadeneyra coached each team for one season. The Sea Kings’ girls won the Sea View League and advanced to the second round of the Southern Section 5-A playoffs. The boys’ team finished fourth in league play last spring.
Jelnick said Rivadeneyra resigned to pursue coaching opportunities at El Toro and San Clemente.
Jelnick also said he is accepting applications for a replacement.
