Hoffman, Miller to Coach All-Stars

Greg Hoffman of Western High and Roy Miller of Huntington Beach have been selected to coach the 27th Orange County All-Star boys’ basketball game.
The game, sponsored by the Costa Mesa Kiwanis Club, will be played April 27 at Cypress College. The players will be selected March 2.
Hoffman, in his ninth season at Western, has a career mark of 130-77. He will coach the North team. Miller, in his 15th season at Huntington Beach, has a record of 177-189. He will coach the South.
Western (18-7) and Huntington Beach (18-10) have reached the quarterfinals of the Southern Section playoffs, which continue Friday.
Wrestle-mania: The first Southern Section dual meet wrestling championships will be decided today at Edison. Buena Park meets Temecula Valley in the 2-A final and Calvary Chapel faces Yucca Valley in the 1-A. Each meet starts at 3 p.m.
To reach the final, Buena Park upset top-seeded Etiwanda, 29-22, in the semifinals last week.
Second-seeded Calvary Chapel, coached by 1980 Olympian John Azevedo, defeated Quartz Hill, 36-30, in the semifinals. The Eagles also won their second consecutive 1-A individual tournament championship Saturday.
