Rating the CBS Olympics

Jane Hall’s Calendar article (“Winter of Their Content,” Feb. 22), including CBS’ self-congratulations for its ratings, is clearly a non sequitur. All the ratings prove is that viewers who wanted to see any part of the Winter Olympics, no matter how brief or flawed the coverage, chose CBS over the pap available on the other channels. European viewers had the opportunity to see virtually all of every event. I doubt if any country in the world was as poorly served as the United States. Thumbs down.
