STENOGRAPHY’S LOSS: Actress Michelle Pfeiffer admitted in an interview with ABC’s Barbara Walters on Monday night that she lacked ambition growing up in Midway City. She called herself “a beach girl” and “not a very good student,” though she got good grades. . . . Pfeiffer: “I thought I would become a stenographer.” But she added that there’s a downside being a top draw at the box office: “I am public property; there are many people in my life making decisions.”
