Point Loma Nazarene Gets Victory Against Williams

Point Loma Nazarene’s tennis team defeated visiting Williams (Mass.) College Tuesday, 8-1, winning all six singles matches in straight sets. Mattias Rendefors defeated Tom Evans at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-2. The Crusaders improved to 11-2.
The University of San Diego dropped its fourth consecutive match, 5-1, to fourth-ranked USC in nonconference action. Junior Kevin Bradley provided the Toreros (10-6) with their only victory, a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 defeat of Andras Lanyi at No. 3 singles. USC improved to 11-1.
SOFTBALL
Point Loma Nazarene split a doubleheader with host Southern California College in Golden State Athletic Conference play. PLNC won the first game, 4-3, and dropped the second, 7-6. The Crusaders (9-9, 3-7) scored four runs in the first inning of the first game. Becky Miller singled in two runs and scored the fourth run.
Robin Rabello tripled in two runs in a five-run first for the Crusaders in the second game, called because of darkness after five innings.
