Man Found Dead in Van He Lived in

The decomposing body of an unidentified transient was found in a van, which had served as his home, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Employees at businesses in the 8900 block of Woodman Avenue discovered the man, believed to be about 70 years old, around 7:30 p.m. Friday after they had noticed he had been missing for several days, Sgt. Paul Haberman said. The man lived in the van and was seen frequently around the neighborhood, he said.
The man had been dead for several days and had died of natural causes, Haberman said.
