Norwalk : 2.6-Mile Extension of Metro Green Line Being Studied
- Share via
The Los Angeles County Transportation Commission and the City of Norwalk are studying whether to extend the Metro Green Line 2.6 miles through Norwalk.
The extension would link the Green Line, which is scheduled to end at the San Gabriel River Freeway (605) in west Norwalk, with the Orange County Commuter Rail Line to the east. The study, which is expected to take several months, will look at whether the extension should be elevated or underground, officials said at an informational meeting Tuesday.
The extension, which would include a rail station at Norwalk’s eastern border, would cost more than $220 million.
