LA HABRA — Cara Shea pitched a two-hitter and struck out nine as Moorpark defeated Whittier Christian, 10-1, in a Southern Section 1-A softball semifinal Tuesday at La Habra High School.
Cher Tinnerello went four for five for Moorpark (23-4), which had 16 hits. Karen Richter hit a two-run home run and Tinnerello had a run-scoring single during Moorpark’s three-run third inning.
Whittier Christian finished its season 18-4.
