Three NHL executives have asked John Ziegler to resign immediately as league president, the Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., reported.
The demand was made in a letter written three weeks ago and signed by owners John McMullen of the Devils, Jeremy Jacobs of the Boston Bruins and Richard Gordon, managing general partner of the Hartford Whalers, the newspaper reported.
