Wilfried Nelissen of Belgium sprinted to the finish and won the third stage of the 1,116-mile Tour of Switzerland road race. Greg LeMond, three-time Tour de France winner, edged up a notch to 15th place in the overall standings after finishing 29th. Giorgio Furlani of Italy remained the overall leader for the second day.
