Dasia Gets Golf Equipment Contract for Pacific Rim
- Share via
Dasia Corp. of Camarillo has signed a three-year contract to supply $5 million worth of golf equipment for distribution in Pacific Rim countries. The deal, with Hi-Tech Golf of Arlington, Va., should result in a 15% to 20% expansion of Dasia’s current work force of 150, said President David Fernandez.
It’s the second major marketing advance in three months for Dasia’s sports division. In early April, the unit signed a $27-million pact to make golf clubs and accessories for a Japanese distributor.
Dasia produces one-piece golf clubs using a process originally developed by the company to make lightweight armor for the Army’s Blackhawk helicopter.
