SANTA CLARITA : Ex-Parks Head to Run Public Works

Santa Clarita’s former director of parks and recreation has been reassigned to head the city’s Public Works Department.
Jeff Kolin has been serving as acting director of public works since February. As head of the department, he will be responsible for the city’s bus system, its solid-waste program, general services and street maintenance.
Kolin will be paid $94,368 a year.
Assistant City Manager Ken Pulskamp will supervise the Parks and Recreation Department while the city looks for Kolin’s replacement.
