Cracking Up: “Today” show host Bryant Gumbel is sporting a fractured wrist, the result of stalking a hippopotamus at a game reserve in Kenya as he was taping shows that will air on NBC’s early-morning program during the November sweeps. A vehicle carrying Gumbel and his crew crashed into a ditch while trying to get a better look at the animal. “We tried to pursue it, but the car couldn’t go where the hippo did,” Gumbel said Wednesday.
