Mayors and Emmys: Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley and New York City Mayor David Dinkins will honor the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 44th annual nighttime Emmy Awards with celebrations in their respective cities. The L.A. party, hosted by Bradley’s Entertainment Council and the Fox network, will be held Aug. 25 in Westwood. In New York, Dinkins’ office will join the trade paper Variety to honor nominees at a City Hall reception on Aug. 18. The Emmys air on Fox from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Aug. 30.
