Woman Trapped in Closet for Week After Robbery

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 79-year-old woman was trapped in a closet in her home for a week after being beaten and robbed by two intruders, police said.
Neighbors hadn’t seen Ethel Schwartz in a week so they called police Saturday. Badly beaten and dehydrated, she was in stable condition Sunday at Millard Fillmore Hospital.
