HURRICANE NOTES

Reporter Spielberg: KNBC Channel 4 had none other than Steven Spielberg reporting live, by telephone, from Hawaii on Friday night during its news coverage of Hurricane Iniki, which was ripping across the islands. Channel 4 knew Spielberg was in Hawaii working on his film “Jurassic Park,” tracked him down and asked him to provide the reports. While his crew was riding out the storm inside a hotel, Spielberg stepped outside to described what was going on.
