Deon Minor, the NCAA indoor 400-meter champion from Baylor, won a gold medal at the World Junior Track and Field Championships at Seoul.
Minor finished in 45.75 to become the third American gold medalist at the meet.
Jillian Russell of Jamaica, a student at the University of Miami, won the women’s 100-meter hurdles in 13.21.
