NATIONAL CITY : Motorcyclist Dies in Crash With Car

A motorcyclist was killed early Thursday when he collided with a suspected drunk driver at a main intersection in National City, police said.
The victim was dead at the scene. His identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin, said Officer Sharon Davie of the National City Police Department.
Shane Cochrin, 21, of National City, was arrested and jailed on charges of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunk driving, Davie said.
The crash occurred at 4:37 a.m. at the intersection of Paradise Valley Road and Plaza Boulevard, Davie said. When police arrived at the scene, they found the motorcyclist pinned under Cochrin’s car, she said.
