GOP Disruption of Boxer Rally

I would not accept the “apology” Herschensohn so glibly issued (Sept. 17) with reference to the “Nazi-like intrusion” at Boxer’s Newport Beach campaign event. This intrusion reminds me of the methods used in the 1930s by Hitler when making his “beer hall putsch” meetings.
It makes little difference to apologize “after the fact” because Boxer was unable to deliver her message to the people gathered in Newport Beach. The relocation to a point 10 miles distant without the necessary preparation (as in Newport Beach) did nothing to compensate the people for the failure to hear whatever Boxer would have said, were it not for the intrusion.
I read that Ms. Boxer would like to “let it rest.” I as an American citizen, taxpayer and registered voter do not now and will never let rest my right to enjoy the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution. Please, God help us all if the people running for public office do not propose to do the same.
