Glendale : Salvation Army Gets Grant

The Glendale Corps of the Salvation Army has received a $45,000 grant to help fund the refurbishment of Virginia Hall, which houses several of social service programs, including daily lunches for the needy.
The grant comes from the Glendale Community Foundation’s Thomson Family Donor-advised Fund, established by Joe and Virginia Thomson. It will pay for upgrading of staff offices and the dining hall and a food storage addition at Virginia Hall, which is at the corner of Central Avenue and Windsor Road.
