TUSTIN — Jim Weeks, who resigned last week as girls’ basketball coach at Costa Mesa High, will be the junior varsity girls’ coach and an assistant on the varsity girls’ team at Tustin this season, Tiller Coach Rick Falk said Thursday.
“The things he does well I don’t like to do anymore,” said Falk, who took Tustin to the Sea View League title and the Southern Section Division II-AA finals last year. “He works so hard with the defense and loves it. We’ll complement each other.”
Weeks, who will continue to teach math at Costa Mesa, was 91-70 during six seasons with the Mustangs. He coached the team to the section Division III-A championship in the 1989-90 season.
