Oxnard police arrested two of three men suspected of robbing a couple at gunpoint and committing sexual battery against the woman victim early Saturday at Beverly Drive and Ventura Road.
Police identified the two men as Bobby Allen Rollins, 21, and Michael Anthony Black, 23, both Oxnard residents. A third suspect was not apprehended, police said.
Police said the suspects, after confronting the victims and asking them why they were in the area, left in a Ford Thunderbird and then returned a short time later, about 2 a.m. One was wearing the same clothing with a bandanna over his face and holding a semiautomatic pistol, police said.
One of the suspects, identified by police as Rollins, demanded money from the victims and then pushed the woman against a car and committed sexual battery, police said. All three suspects then fled. Police saw a car matching the descriptions given by the victims and arrested the two men after finding the male victim’s wallet and credit cards in the car.
Police said Rollins was out on bail on earlier charges of rape and robbery following an arrest in July. Black is on parole for robbery and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, police said. Both are in Ventura County Jail awaiting arraignment.
