The Kings assigned defenseman Brent Thompson and forward Ed Kastelic to their minor league affiliate at Phoenix for two weeks of conditioning. Thompson has been sidelined since suffering a hip flexor strain in a training camp scrimmage. Kastelic also was injured during training camp when he sprained his knee.
