Pianist Benjamin Pasternack will substitute for Norman Krieger as soloist in Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy on Pacific Symphony programs tonight and Thursday in Costa Mesa. Krieger canceled because of illness, according to orchestra officials. The program, which also includes Durufle’s Requiem, will be unchanged. (714) 740-2000.
