CALABASAS : County Extends Freeway Agreement
- Share via
Reconstruction of the Parkway Calabasas interchange on the Ventura Freeway will not begin until after the day it was originally scheduled to be completed: Dec. 31, 1992.
Jean Granucci, spokeswoman for the county Department of Public Works, Tuesday characterized the delay as “pretty routine. . . . It’s just taking longer than what they expected.”
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors agreed Tuesday to extend the agreement between the county and state concerning the interchange through June 1, 1994.
In total, the project--paid for by assessments on developers--will include replacing the existing two-lane over-crossing with six lanes, widening Calabasas Road from two to four lanes, installing traffic signals at nearby intersections and improving ramps at the freeway entrances and exits.
