The relief and development organization World Vision has established a fund to aid victims of the deadly floods that swept through Tijuana late last week.
Donations can be made by calling (800) 423-4200. Contributions may also be sent to World Vision Relief Fund, P.O. Box 1131, Pasadena 91131.
The Tijuana storm has been blamed for at least 14 deaths, but the toll is expected to go higher. An estimated 500 or so people were reportedly evacuated from their homes in the Mexican border city.
World Vision oversees several community development and transition shelter projects in the Tijuana hillsides.
At least one of the organization’s projects was affected by the floods, World Vision spokesman Jeff Sellers said.
