Emanuel M. Honig, 78, rabbi, psychiatrist and author who appeared frequently on the television panel show “Today’s Religion.” Rabbi Honig, who practiced psychiatry in Beverly Hills for 38 years, wrote the handbook “The Faith of Your Patients” about religious attitudes toward medical practices. He had recently completed his autobiography, “From Soul To Psyche: Memoirs of a Rabbi-Psychiatrist.” He was educated at the Jewish Institute of Religion in New York and the University of Oregon Medical School and was a chaplain during World War II. He served on the board of directors of Sinai Temple and was active in the United Jewish Fund and the Jewish Federation Council. On Thursday in Beverly Hills of cancer.
