Kamau Wins Unanimous Decision Over Brooks, Stays Undefeated

Undefeated David Kamau of Los Angeles used his height and reach advantage to score a unanimous 12-round decision over Tim Brooks of Sacramento in a junior-welterweight bout at the Forum on Monday night.
Kamau improved to 18-0 despite being knocked down by Brooks during the 12th and final round.
Brooks’ record dropped to 13-11-1.
On the undercard, Francis Vivish of San Gabriel knocked out Boni Lara at 2 minutes 32 seconds of the first round after having been knocked down Lara earlier. Vivish improved to 11-1; Lara is 7-2.
In another bout, flyweight Ysaias Zamudio improved to 31-3-1 with a unanimous, 10-round decision over Abner Barajas of Phoenix. Barajas dropped to 16-11.
