Houston on Illegal Aliens

Houston’s recommendation to deport illegal immigrants is inflammatory and clearly suggested for political gain. His statements serve no positive solution to immigration problems and are detrimental to healing the ethnic tensions that have surfaced after the Los Angeles riots. Multiethnic Los Angeles is in need of positive leadership to bring the citizens together for a common cause; not a continual barrage of bigot-based politics pitting citizens against those who cannot defend themselves. Houston is an opportunist and not the person for the job.
