OJAI : Liver Recipient’s Condition Improves
- Share via
Aaron Clement, the 14-year-old Ojai boy who underwent a liver transplant operation, was in critical but improving condition Sunday, according to a nursing supervisor at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Aaron underwent the life-saving operation early Saturday to replace his cancerous liver with a healthy one from an anonymous Southern California donor.
The youth’s grandmother, Maria Turner, said she was told by doctors following the operation that the procedure was successful and that the boy was now cancer-free.
