13-Year-Olds Held After Chase in Stolen Car

Two 13-year-old boys were arrested Sunday after leading Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies on a five-mile chase through South-Central Los Angeles in a stolen car, authorities said.
Sgt. Michael McBride said deputies spotted the Chevrolet Monte Carlo near Main Street and Century Boulevard about 10:30 a.m. and gave chase after the young driver failed to heed the patrol car’s siren.
The boys were arrested 12 minutes later near 62nd Street and Gage Avenue after abandoning the car and trying to flee, McBride said.
