The Minnesota Vikings signed free agent quarterback Sean Salisbury, who spent last year alternating as the team’s starter with Rich Gannon.
The Vikings signed free agent Jim McMahon last month and also have second-year man Brad Johnson. Gannon remains a free agent.
“This is where I wanted to play,” Salisbury told radio station KFAN. “This was the best opportunity for me.”
Terms of the deal were not announced, but KFAN reported the one-year deal was in the $1.5-million range.
