Lotus to Unveil 1-2-3 Upgrade: Lotus Development Corp. will unveil a much-awaited upgrade of its flagship spreadsheet software, 1-2-3, Release 4 for Windows, a product that analysts said will boost its share of the Windows market. Last week, after word spread on Wall Street that Lotus would unveil the product Tuesday, shares of the Cambridge, Mass.-based company climbed $6.50 in five days, closing Friday at $32 in NASDAQ trading. Lotus’ first versions of 1-2-3 for Windows were not well received and Microsoft Corp. then took over the market with Excel.
