Julio Cesar Chavez withdrew from a June 19 fight card in San Diego because of sore right hand. No opponent had been named for Chavez, the World Boxing Council junior welterweight champion.
Chavez probably will fight in July as a tuneup for his Sept. 10 fight against WBC welterweight champion Pernell Whitaker in San Antonio.
